Picoamperemeter

Picoamperemeter is a device to measure very small currents in nanoamperes (nA), picoampere (pA) and, in some cases, femtoamperes (fA). Such currents are needed to measure isolation resistance, for example gate dielectric of MIS transistors, their leakage currents and off-state currents. Modern digital picoamperemeters are designed in accordance with a measuring circuit based on integrated operating amplifier with a parallel feedback. It allows getting minimal input resistance which is advisable for current measurement.
