Anritsu Adds Scalar Transmission Capability to ShockLine USB VNAs
10/13/2015 | 1090
Anritsu Company introduces a scalar transmission option for its MS46121A PC-controlled ShockLine™ 1-port USB Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) that transforms multiple MS46121A models into a simple scalar system. This new option enables scalar measurements to be made between MS46121A VNAs in either a one-to-one (1 to 1) or one-to-many (1 to n) configuration, creating a flexible and affordable method of conducting magnitude-only transmission measurements for a wide variety of applications, including manufacturing test and student education.

New product: the ultrasensitive R&S FSWP phase noise analyzer and VCO tester
10/09/2015 | 1384
The new R&S FSWP phase noise analyzer and VCO tester from Rohde & Schwarz enables ultrasensitive and ultra-fast phase noise measurements. It also allows users to very easily measure pulsed sources and additive phase noise of RF components. Plus the instrument can be upgraded to a signal and spectrum analyzer.

TI introduces ultra-low-jitter clock generators to enable more reliable telecommunications infrastructure equipment
10/06/2015 | 1044
Texas Instruments (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) introduced a new family of clock generators that provides ultra-low jitter of 100 femtoseconds (fs) and flexible, unique pin control options. Compared to conventional reference clock solutions, the new clock generators' jitter performance enables system designers to optimize system timing margins and bit error rate (BER) to reduce data transmission errors.

Fixture Helps Engineers Verify, Debug Devices that Use Type-C Connector Technology
10/02/2015 | 1165
Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) introduced the industry's highest-signal-integrity Type-C test fixtures for high-speed differential bus probing. The Keysight N7015A high-speed test fixture provides best-in-class performance up to 30 GHz of bandwidth, enabling engineers to verify and debug USB 3.1 Gen 2 designs and designs using other high-speed signal standards that support the Type-C connector.

Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, has expanded its AFG3000C Arbitrary/Function Generator Series with two 150 MHz models (one or two channels) that deliver more performance than competitive offerings while holding the line on pricing.

Keysight Technologies Announces Industry's First 50 GHz Handheld Combination Analyzer
09/18/2015 | 1157
Keysight Technologies, Inc. added six millimeter-wave models to its family of FieldFox handheld analyzers. The flagship model is the industry’s first handheld combination analyzer to provide coverage to 50 GHz. With more built-in capabilities than similar analyzers, FieldFox can replace three or four single-function instruments — benchtop or handheld — that are typically used for maintenance and troubleshooting of systems that operate at or above Ka-band frequencies.

Rohde & Schwarz Webinar: Building Application Aware Mobile Networks Using SDN and NFV
09/15/2015 | 1241
The webinar will be held on September 16, 2015. Infrastructure vendors developing 5G network elements are making use of software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) benefits such as operational efficiencies and service agility for operators. These benefits are best realized when the management layer has access to highly-granular network intelligence to ensure that traffic is routed as efficiently and dynamically as possible. This webinar examines real-life deployments of IP classification integration in network infrastructure products, and how granular network data enables better use of network resources and more flexible service provisioning.
