AKTAKOM ATH-2232 DC power supply is a perfect instrument for debugging process, repair and laboratory research as well as science investigation, college, factory, electronic appliance maintenance and etc. ATH-2232 outputs smoothly adjustable stabilized DC voltage and stabilized current with low noise.
ATH-2232 is a high performance and precision regulated DC power supply (analog of MCP M10-DP-3020E) with 2 channel outputs. It has constant voltage mode, constant current mode, auto current cut off protection function, overload protection and auto tracking mode. In auto tracking mode this power supply can auto connect CH1 and CH2 output either by parallel or series method internally to provide double current or voltage output.
AKTAKOM ATH-2232 has a digital indication, all information is displayed on 4 LED displays.
Features
2 adjustable channels output
0-30V linear voltage and current output display
4 LED displays for voltage and current output display
"Absolute measurement error" service allows you to estimate the measurement accuracy considering uncertainty (error) in the absolute value. It's important if you take measurements at the range edge when the error value contributes to the value displayed on the device screen.
To get the value range it'd be enough to enter the estimate of the value under measurement into Value input field and to see the range of possible values taking all of the standardized errors into consideration.
Note: a point is used as a separator of the integer and fractional part.

Setting the output voltage of both channels when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supplies
Connect Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply to the power source
Press Power switch to turn on the power supply
To set channel 1 use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust CH1 output voltage
Connect the circuit to the Terminals
Press Auto current cut off protection key to activate output. The output indicator will light on
When CH1 CV/CC indicator is red, use CH1 current knob to adjust a suitable current
To set CH2 voltage repeat the above steps using CH2 voltage knob, short main terminals for CH2 and CH2 CV/CC indicator instead.
Caution!
Make sure the Input voltage selector is set to a correct position otherwise it will damage the power supply.
Do not short the main terminals over 1 minute it can also cause the power supply damage.
Setting the output current of both channels when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supplies
Connect Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply to the power source
Press Power switch to turn on the power supply
To set channel 1 use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust CH1 output voltage around 2-5V
For CH1 turn CH1 Current knob anticlockwise and reach the minimum current value.
Short + and – main terminals for CH1 with a conductor which is cross section area not less than 0.5mm2
Ensure the output indicator is on. Otherwise press Auto current cut off protection key. Then CH1 CV/CC indicator will turn to red.
Adjust CH1 Current knob to set a desired output current
Repress Auto current cut off protection key to cut off the output.
Then CH1 CV/CC indicator will turn to green color.
Remove the conductor
Set to desired voltage
Connect the circuit to the main terminals
To setting CH2 current repeat the above steps using CH2 Current knob, short main terminals for CH2 and CH2 CV/CC indicator instead
Caution!
Ensure the current is set to zero before shorting the main terminals. Otherwise it will damage the power supply.
Do not short the main terminals over 1 minute it can also cause the power supply damage.
Setting the independent mode when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply
Release both Tracking mode selection keys
In independent mode CH1 and CH2 are two independent power supply channels, voltage or current can be adjusted separately.
Adjust CH1 or CH2 Voltage/Current knobs to set the desired value.
How to set series tracking mode when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply?
Press Tracking mode selection key (marked as 1 in the below picture) and release Tracking mode selection key (marked as 2) to enable series tracking mode. In series tracking mode CH2 output voltage and current value follows CH1 setting. The output voltage is double to CH1 display value.
Turn CH2 Current knob clockwise to maximum current output and then use CH1 Current knob to adjust the desired current output value.
Use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust the desired voltage output value.
Connect the circuit to CH1 “+” terminal and CH2 “-” terminal to get double voltage output
For the bi-polar DC power supply with common ground connect CH2 “+” terminal to “GND” grounding terminal. CH1 “+” terminal is the positive output and CH2 “-” terminal is the negative output
Below is the illustration of series tracking mode
Here is the illustration of Bi-polar tracking mode
How can I set parallel tracking mode when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx?
Press both Tracking mode selection keys to enable parallel tracking mode. In parallel tracking mode CH2 output voltage and current value follows CH1 setting. The output current is double to the CH1 display value.
Use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust the desired voltage output value
CH1 Current knob to adjust the desired current output value.
Connect the circuit to the CH1 terminals to get double current output
Below is the illustration of parallel tracking mode
May I use AKTAKOM power supplies to charge accumulators?
AKTAKOM power supplies can’t be used for accumulator charging since it may cause the accumulator breakage (recharge, electrolyte boiling, extra pressure of the internal gas which will lead to the accumulator explosion). Accumulators should be charged with the current source which controls the accumulator voltage and regulates the charging current accordingly. When the required accumulator voltage is achieved such type of source simply stops the charging process, its name is a charging device.
