Keysight Technologies Expands UXM Multi-Format Test Capabilities with GSM, TD-SCDMA

Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced the addition of GSM, GPRS, EGPRS and TD-SCDMA, HSPA test capabilities to the E7515A UXM wireless test set. With these enhancements, UE developers can validate their multi-format LTE devices within a single UXM test set.

The new GSM and TD-SCDMA test applications allow fast-switching between W-CDMA, GSM and TD-SCDMA formats in a single UXM with just one transceiver hardware set. The new test applications also include the powerful GSM and TD-SCDMA X-Series measurement applications for comprehensive RF testing with consistent, repeatable results. The X-Series measurement applications allow engineers to quickly configure test parameters per 3GPP standards, or use the full range of X-Series capabilities to explore beyond the specifications.

"We have utilized world-class software from Keysight's 8960 network emulation platform and X-series signal analyzers to provide our customers a simple and consistent measurement experience, while simulating complex mobility scenarios that represent today's real-world wireless conditions."

Along with expanded RF test capability, the addition of GSM and TD-SCDMA enables one-box LTE to 2G/3G mobility test including CSFB and SRVCC, with time-aligned, multi-format protocol message analysis using the Wireshark-based protocol logging and analysis software.
