Keysight Technologies, Inc., a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced that Keysight's new handheld measurement software (Nemo Handy) uses Android-based commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) smartphones for verification of 5G new radio (NR) quality-of-service (QoS) and quality-of-experience (QoE) in the field.

Industry's first low-noise buck converters with integrated ferrite-bead compensation simplify high-precision designs
12/08/2020 | 497
Texas Instruments (TI) introduced a new family of low-noise DC/DC switching regulators with integrated ferrite-bead compensation. The TPS62912 and TPS62913 offer low noise of 20 µVRMS for frequencies ranging from 100 Hz to 100 kHz and ultra-low output-voltage ripple of 10 µVRMS, giving engineers the ability to remove one or more low-dropout regulators (LDOs) from their designs, reduce power losses by up to 76% and save 36% of board space.

Rohde & Schwarz first to bring 1 GHz analysis bandwidth to a mid-range signal and spectrum analyzer – ideal for 5G NR
12/04/2020 | 579
Manufacturers of future cellular and wireless systems, infrastructure and amplifiers can now profit from a wideband signal test solution that was previously available only in high-end instruments. Rohde & Schwarz has added an unparalleled internal analysis bandwidth of up to 1 GHz to its R&S FSVA3000 mid-range signal and spectrum analyzer. The new R&S FSV3-B1000 hardware option is available for all models from 7.5 GHz to 44 GHz, while comparable solutions offer just 160 MHz analysis bandwidth.

Keysight Technologies and ROHM Semiconductor enable designers to rapidly modify SMPS Reference Design for SiC Power Devices
12/01/2020 | 601
Keysight Technologies, Inc., a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, and ROHM Semiconductor, a leading semiconductor company, jointly announce a PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS)-compatible workspace that enables designers to perform pre-compliance testing on virtual prototypes of switched-mode power supply (SMPS) designs. This new capability saves time and cost by catching errors early in the design before they become a big problem.
