Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) announced their plan to help accelerate the deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. IoT capabilities is expected to help connect billions of devices with applications—such as smart homes, connected cars, healthcare and smart cities; as well as industrial applications, including energy systems, agriculture and transportation.

NI (Nasdaq: NATI), the provider of platform-based systems that enable engineers and scientists to solve the world’s greatest engineering challenges, announced NI-RFmx 2.2, the latest version of its advanced measurement software for PXI RF test systems. When used with the second-generation PXI Vector Signal Transceiver (VST), engineers can test 4.5G and 5G RF components such as transceivers and amplifiers using a wide range of carrier aggregation schemes, even as the 5G standard is still being defined.

Tektronix, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of measurement solutions, introduced the industry's first 32 Gb/s protocol-aware bit error rate test and analysis system. The new Tektronix BSX series BERTScope not only helps characterize the receiver in Gen3 and Gen4 devices – it enables users to shorten the time needed to debug link training and bit error rate issues.

The new R&S RT-ZVC multichannel power probe, in combination with an R&S CMW radio communication tester, monitors the power consumption of chipsets, radio modules and mobile devices. The R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester now emulates WLAN networks in line with the IEEE 802.11ac standard. The established test platform thus supports all current cellular and non-cellular wireless standards. Just a single test instrument covers all tests required for components with multiple integrated wireless interfaces – including interoperability tests.
